We are looking for a Web Developer College Placement Student to join our team at Leah’s Yard in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for someone studying web development, computing, software development or a related subject who wants hands-on experience inside a real digital and marketing agency.
About the Role
As a Web Developer Placement Student, you will support the Sitesi team across a range of live client projects. You will gain practical experience in website development, WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP development, hosting, server maintenance and the day-to-day workings of a digital agency.
You will work alongside experienced developers and professionals, learning how client projects are planned, built, tested, launched and maintained.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role may include:
- Assisting with the development of WordPress websites
- Supporting WooCommerce e-commerce builds and updates
- Helping build and maintain PHP-based web applications
- Working on front-end website updates using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Supporting website maintenance tasks, updates and fixes
- Learning about hosting environments, domains, DNS and server maintenance
- Testing websites and web applications across devices and browsers
- Supporting client project delivery from brief through to launch
- Helping troubleshoot issues and document solutions
- Learning how an agency operates day to day
